I’m Kelly and I am here to share the tidbits of my life and touch upon what I feel is most important…
Laughter, Strength…and, of course, Food. The necessities of life.
I try to find silver linings. I believe that things happen for a reason and if one plan falls apart (which happens a lot!) there is usually a better one right around the corner.
I consider myself to be very restless and indecisive well-rounded. I graduated with a degree in Biology, along with minors in Biochemisty and History. I also am one semester away from getting my high school teaching degree. I currently work at an Allstate insurance agency and I am also a certified group fitness and Jazzercise instructor.
Okay…right now…get those thoughts of 80’s music and leg warmers out of your head! Jazzercise has come a long way and is an awesome combination of cardio and strength routines set to current music. It’s always fresh and new! I promise!!!
I have a love affair with food. I rarely eat because I’m hungry…I eat because of how delicious food can be! Cooking and baking is like therapy to me. I use it as that escape that we all need every now and then. I come from an amazing family that believes in consuming large amounts of grains, fruits, and vegetables. And pizza. Buried in cheese. Oh, and speaking of cheese…I could never get enough. I don’t even try to control my obsession.
Seriously, though, I do believe in maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle, but I also believe that giving into cravings and just forgetting about the rules every once in awhile is good for the soul.
I currently live in a small town about an hour east of Pittsburgh, PA with my boyfriend, Lee, and our crazy chocolate lab, Jet. Lee is a police officer and owns a Harley…that is what consumes his time. Jet is a professional maniac and likes to jump and chew…driving us crazy consumes his time. Honestly, though, I wouldn’t trade him them for the world!!
Please, enjoy my website. I strive to provide information on how to lead your healthiest lifestyle. There is no one magic plan that works for everyone. The key is to find the best combination of food and fitness that works for you! So, with that said…go make some of my recipes, go for a walk, try an aerobics class, or flop onto the couch and spend the afternoon in your pjs. Really, anything goes…
